Agra November 30
(IANS)
Bollywood film lyricist Santosh
Anand, 75, who penned immortal songs for films like Shor, Kranti, Purab aur
Paschim, felt helpless and lamented the extremely slow pace of probe in his
son's suicide in Kosi early October.
Santosh Anand was in Agra to
receive a life time achievement award by Aradhana, an NGO.
Talking to media persons Saturday
evening, Santosh Anand said his son was not a coward but intelligent and bright.
Unfortunately he did not share his frustration and sorrows with me. He has now
demanded a CBI inquiry to get to the truth of the case in which 38 big names are
involved, as mentioned in the FIR, lodged by Kosi police.
Sankalp Anand and his wife had
jumped before a running train in Kosi on October 15. Police recovered a 15 page
hand written note from the car. The note listed 38 names who had created all
kinds of situations and problems which forced the family to take the extreme
step. Sankalp worked for the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narain National Institute of
Criminology and Forensic Sciences in New Delhi.
Santosh Anand said he was a
totally shattered person and was only living for his grand daughter Ridhima,
three year old, who was at the last minute left behind by the couple before
commiting suicide.
