MONO RAIL TO CONNECT AGRA WITH NOIDA

After the commissioning of the longest Expressway from Agra to Lucknow Sunday, the Uttar Pradesh government has now set its eyes on the new Mono Rail project to connect Noida with Agra.
 
Officials said the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has given his principled nod to the mono rail project that will cover 200 km in an hour. The high powered committee during its meeting on November 19 in the state capital discussed the project. Chief secretary Alok Ranjan said the mono rail will benefit Agra in a big way.
 

A few months back the state government had incorporated the Noida Metro Rail Corporation which will take up the mono rail project. The mono rail will connect Maha Maya Flyover in Noida with the proposed night safari park, Buddha International Circuit, International Cricket ground, Mathura with Agra. The proposed international airport at Jebar could also be linked with it. An official said the mono rail will run along the Yamuna river, as in Sydney.
