AGRA LUCKNOW EXPRESSWAY TO BE COMPLETED IN RECORD 22 MONTHS

The ruling Samajwadi Party government in UP today
commissioned work on its mega project the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. Party supremo
Mulayam Singh Yadav laid the foundation stone at his official residence in the
state capital. A simultaneous programme was organised in Agra in which senior
district officials took part.
UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav said the mega
project would be completed in 22 months.
Informing his fans on Facebook Akhilesh wrote "Today
we placed the foundation stone for the Agra Lucknow Expressway. The 302
kilometre, 6 lane expandable to 8 lanes expressway will increase the speed of
the state's developmet. Four
mandis will be connected to the expressway to allow farmers easier access to
customers. This
expressway will connect Lucknow with Delhi via
Agra."
The
Lucknow -Agra Expressway will be connected with the Yamuna Expressway thus
reducing travelling time between Lucknow and Delhi by at least three
hours.
The
305 km project is estimated to cost Rs 15000 crores.
